Hi, junior associate here in Big Law with dyslexia and ADHD which affects my processing speed. I've recently been feeling really low and unconfident in my abilities as I've realised that pretty much everyone around me is able to read and assimilate and process information really quickly (I.e they're able to ask questions right after receiving instructions but I need to have looked at the docs first and attempted it to identify the pinch points/missing info). Any advice? What helped?

Friends, need some help. Tried Dr. GPT and others, but still not clear. Former McK partner looking for service providers in digital transformation. Can somebody help me understand what does BCG Platinion really do? ChatGPT, web etc. come out like they’re the same thing as McK Digital, but my impression is that McK Digital has a broader range of profiles, from more generalist to specialized (tech arhitects, UX/UI designers etc.) people, while BCG Platinion only has specialized/implementation.

Ive been thinking a lot about how the transition from physical to digital media has meant the loss of a lot of everyday art objects, and the jobs related to making art for a commercial purpose that drew me to the industry as a teen deciding to go to design school back in the day. I really miss cd and cassette tape inserts as design objects. They were so tactile and eclectic. There really isnt a lot of opportunity for designers to make objects that are more beautiful than practical these days.

      Job Hunting in Tech

I’m a UI/UX designer with a background in economics and customer experience, currently exploring product systems that prioritize transparency and trust. My journey into design started with curiosity about how digital experiences influence decision-making — especially in emerging tech spaces. I’m particularly interested in building structured, user-centered systems that solve real problems rather than just look good. Looking forward to connecting and learning from other professionals here.

Neon signs flicker over packed clubs and glowing restaurants, laughter spilling onto rain-slick streets under towering glass. Air taxis hum above as billboards shift from luxury ads to breaking news. Crafted with Sora and Suno AI, this cyberpunk vision blends neon reflections and synthwave beats into a seamless generative dream. 🎬 Watch full video: https://youtu.be/tKJTErevApA?si=LxIqibHx4uA-v05q 🔹Watch more AI Videos: https://youtube.com/@windwaker_art

On Reddit I keep seeing people talk about getting a mouse jiggler. I don’t see why this even makes sense especially now that they are programs that easily detect this, it just feels like people who would do this make work from home things we don’t get to have. Do you know if anybody in your organization does this?

When do you favor the experimenter vs. the safe bet in candidates? I saw many problems arising from shiny-object syndrome over the years when it comes to tech choices. But also sometimes reinventing a process made it more maintainable and simpler. Do you usually take this into account in interviews?

Our company is going through a digital transformation and all our tech teams are becoming product-centric. I’m loving it but it’s hard to help our stakeholder move from the concept of ‘applications’ to ‘digital products’. Got any tips or resources to share on your journey?

I feel like my profession in software has encouraged me to stay curious about how things work around me. I was at the dentist today and I was in awe at how the Invisalign scanner connected to a basic USB port and makes magic. Do you find yourself wondering the same thing?
