I have mainly been off meds all my life - I went through a trial periods of various medications with a psychiatrist last year. I stopped seeing them because they didn’t listen to me and I had a reaction to the last medication we tried. I’m thinking of resuming my meds journey soon. What have people’s experience been with Strattera in general? I’m open to non stims but it concerns me that it’s not recommended to mix with alcohol. In my 20s and drink socially, so cautious of that aspect vs stims

How do I pivot to public interest? Currently clerking on the district level after a year in biglaw. Have another clerkship lined up on the circuit level next year. Was aiming to be an AUSA but I’m both opposed to the current admin’s priorities wrt DOJ and don’t love criminal law as much as I thought I would. Anyone have a sense of how to make the jump? Particularly interested in environmental issues with a degree of exposure from pre-law work/clinic. At this point unwilling to go back to biglaw

A postion has come open in my company for the Accounting Dept, which I do have experience in. It pays $2 less an hour and is a 15 minute further drive than what I do right now but it is way closer to where my husband and I hope to buy a home. Obviously a no brainer to try and get the postion, so why am I so scared to try? I hate the position I'm currently in and I think Back Office would be great. I think it's the $2 cut that worries me. And the experience could help for a future job

I just moved from a role with a fully loaded company Tahoe to a new gig that offers a car stipend instead. Between insurance, maintenance, and the insane price of gas lately, I feel like the stipend is actually a pay cut in disguise. My OTE went up by $15k, but I’m worried I’m going to eat through that just keeping a reliable vehicle on the road. Would you rather have the fleet vehicle or the cash? Maybe I’m looking at it the wrong way.

I have been watching companies like Robinhood and Coinbase (among others) to see what products they develop since they currently can pivot faster than your big banks like Chase or PNC. Robinhood has a product for that offers staking for ETH. One of the catches is Robinhood takes 25% of the “profit” from the staking. 25% seems high - like highway robbery high. Those who might be staking elsewhere - who are you using and how much do you keep?

2nd year Public Defender in NYC making $82k. Am I crazy for staying? I love my clients and I believe in the mission, but I’m literally living paycheck to paycheck in one of the most expensive cities in the world. My friends from law school are all buying condos. I don't want to sell out to a firm, but the financial stress is starting to outweigh the moral satisfaction. Is there a sweet spot for public interest work?

Strat vs. Creative: Is it ever possible to have a career in both? How did you choose if you were flirting with both routes? Have spent 5 years at small agencies doing both, on a path to become ACD at my current big hold-co agency but am interviewing for several Senior Strat roles as well. Feels like I’m at a fork in my career and need to choose.

The hiring manager mentioned they’re working on upgrading a legacy trading platform (possibly mainframes?) to a modern tech stack. It sounds like a promising opportunity, but I’d really appreciate any additional context or experiences anyone might be able to share.

Has anyone formerly in B4 partnership taxation successfully managed to pivot to something significantly different? I’ve worked this job for 5 years and I want to be done with it but the only exits seem to be doing the same thing for a different public accounting firm.
