Should I renege MBB for SWE? Starting very soon in MBB US at undergrad level (cs major and never interned in mbb, only swe). Have an offer to go back to the tech company I interned at. Starting Pay is 100k higher than mbb. My biggest concern is seeing the negativity around mbb on this forum, plus swe is very different from a year ago when I signed the offers and tech/ai seems to be booming more than ever before. Want to make sure I’m not screwing up my life and wasting my cs background. Thanks

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with working as a Computer Hardware Engineer at General Atomics (Poway,CA) and if anyone can share any insight on what the day to day and work-life balance looks like for this company and this position. How do I work through a micro manager? It’s gotten to the point now where I lose sleep because of the nitpick, not listening, not actually reading the materials which leads to awkward comment responses “it’s there,” delays in review time, etc. Manager gets annoyed when I don’t include him on things or when folks reach out to me directly. Losing it. I’ve done the over sharing, timelines, pushed back, and nothing has worked. Only thing left is escalating but scared in this environment

What are the most common M/SM failure modes post-MBB? Curious as to your thoughts - for smart people with good education, but still relatively new in career and domain expertise, what have you seen as the most common failure modes post-MBB? I'm looking for my next thing, and while I can clearly see the benefits of me (Bain M/SM) over an A or an SA as an IC, I'm having a hard time seeing myself leading a team without the leadership support at MBB (APs, Ps etc.).

So I am new to this site, I would like some recommendations on what y'all think.. should I leave my job where I'm getting micro managed by the owner and he doesn't micro manage the men that do the same stuff as me? What do you guys propose is the future of interest rates with this whole direction for Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac to buy 200 billion worth of MBS? I'm hearing that it will drastically reduce rates, but wondering if anyone here has a different opinion.
