If I’m strapped for cash and take a temp to perm job, and am offered a permanent job a few weeks later (with a different company), should I feel bad for leaving the temp role? There’s no guarantee they’ll keep me, but I’m sure they wouldn’t ask for me if they didn’t want me - but there’s no timeline on their end. They said “it’s up to you, if you show us you want it then we’ll move forward.” I’ve also been in temp roles for years with no transition. So I’m iffy on temp to perm placements.

Anyone else completely burnt out with AI as you feel it may be more evil than good? I’m having a real internal struggle with it and I’m literally in charge of it at the moment. It’s making me want to do an about face and do something completely different. Opening a coffeeshop is my dream but being a single homeowner in Florida that will be difficult. I think using AI in Job Hunting is like a eating a mushy Holiday sandwich. You have all the perks of using AI as the moist turkey, and your achievements are all the stuffing, but these multiple layers of AI use in Resumé building and ATS screening creates a mush between cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes. You can still eat that sandwich but you have to get through the messy bits.

Any advice? Currently an admin in finance who has the opportunity to be a CSA at an IB firm. They have someone who’s going to train me and understand that my background is different but it is temp to perm and Im nervous about that. I also have another opportunity to take another admin position which is permanent. Would taking the temp role be too risky?

Any tips or product suggestions to keep my 1 year old warm at night? We set the thermostat to 71 but the rooms heat unevenly. The bedroom temp drops to 66-68 at night. She wears long sleeve PJs and a woolino sleep sack. Blanket won’t work yet since she moves a lot. I’m guessing she wakes up at night because she’s cold?

If yes to 1, how can you tell what’s a good AI startup? There are so many I’m sure some are just selling snake oil but I can’t tell

What will we do once AI can do my current job? Am I doom and gloom or is it a valid question? I am currently in process documentation and optimization and although it’s not good enough yet, AI has gotten significantly better in the past 2 years. Am I just SOL after the programs get good enough unless I pivot myself?

I've asked chatgpt to rework my cv, while the revised version does read impreaaive but it also reads like words strung together that don't mean anything.. anyone else find this? Anyways I'm curious if recruiters can tell if it's AI, will it be flagged through screening? Anyone have positive experiences using AI for CV updates?
