I am looking for advice in a career change. I have been with The WDW brand for almost seven years and the growth is just not there. I missed my window if there ever was one after COVID. I'm a single mom and my priorities and hours never allowed for a change and risk loosing my bid. But here I am and the still working a split shift and missing every night with my son being an active mom. I am ready to move on as scary as it is. But where do I even go with CSR experience? I want a change! Help!
Can anyone speak to WLB in DC lit groups as well as if any of them would allow for remote work to start? I’m at a lit boutique and make great money (significantly above market) but consistently approach or exceed 300 hours a month. Love litigating and firm life but just want a slightly more WLB (would even be fine billing in the mid-high 2ks). I’d like to move back to DC but won’t be able to for another 2 years. Open to ideas on which firms to target.
For those who have escaped to industry, curious how WLB differs between consulting and some of the more high-visibility functions like BD/CorpDev at a larger biotech with a reputation for intensity like a BridgeBio or similar? Versus say a supporting role in insights or forecasting? I understand a lot is manager and company dependent but curious the range of folks' experience. Thanks in advance
How do I ask about wlb during interviews? I want to know if I'll have to be available until midnight like consulting, how many hours are expected, and the pace? I have an interview the hm coming up. He and the rest of the leadership team are 1 hour behind me, and are all in the same city and office. My role is remote

I’m in the process of applying to insurance defense firms in NYC. Just to see if there’s a frame of reference from those already in that spot, could you please provide your YOE, salary and whether you’re allowed to WFH?
Hi Law Bowl! Let’s do some benchmarking. For those open to sharing: what is your YOE, region, practice area, base salary/total compensation, and WLB? Feel free to add any other relevant information as well. Thank you!
I need help with STD. I’m very close to a breakdown and I need a break. I’ve asked my firms HR for the forms, but I was wondering whether I could get my therapist to fill out the form. Is that okay?
Looking for any insights on A&M. What's WLB at Director or Senior Director level, what's bonus structure? How would you compare to other levels at other consulting firms?Alvarez & Marsal
