Is there a WPP bowl? I can’t find it (only a random one for IT..). My question is really just a hypothetical one for people at WPP (I work there myself in media…). With the new CEO joining in the next few weeks, and discussion of a much needed new “strategy”, do you think voluntary redundancy could be one route to cut staffing costs, and if they did, would you go for it!? I received two offers. WPP or Publicis?? The latter is a $5k less in salary but everything else is superior - 4 days vs 3 days (2-3 flexible) RTO, 15 days vs unlimited PTO, “chaos” vs “chill” (language from interviews)…

The Wall Street Journal article about WPP is pretty damning. 15% (now almost 18%) stock drop in one day? The article claims it’s due to client loss and the rise of AI. Huh. I’m not an expert, but MAYBE they shouldn’t have pushed out their top creative talent with arbitrary return to office policies? 🤔

Big shift for WPP upcoming with a new CEO - interesting to see someone without an agency background coming in to lead one of the largest agencies in the world. To those with agency experience, have you seen anyone without previous agency experience join and be successful? https://www.adweek.com/agencies/wpp-names-microsoft-exec-cindy-rose-as-ceo/

WPP now has the same dollar market cap as it did in 1990... Crazyyyy. Imagine holding on to a stock for 36 years and you got nothing but some piddly dividends (which incidentally take the stock price down by the exact amount of the dividend each time it's paid).

Have you heard about the potential deal between WPP and Accenture? www.campaignlive.co.uk/article/accenture-wpp-discussed-potential-m-a-deal/1925334 I mean, WPP is going down, but industry wise this is a bit scary, isn't it?

The is will be/ is a big blow to WPP, which I’m sure they have anticipated at least I hope https://digiday.com/marketing/wpp-client-dell-technologies-is-rolling-out-its-global-in-housing-initiative-reshaping-media-buying-strategy/

What is your actual take on the WPP news today? I’ll start. I think the PR and Design assets rolled up under WPP Creative are up for sale and being shopped. They have nowhere to put them until then.

Will WPP Media (at least in US) win any of its remaining accounts under review this year? The three reaming currently in middle of reviews/pitches are TJX, Campari, and Bayer

Based on all the policies I am seeing from Omnicom (RTO, Holidays, etc..), poor IPG. Yeah I think I will stay at WPP (not looking that bad compared to Omni/IPG lol)
