Just had myself a lovely call with a customer who “wanted something different from what I’m currently wearing” in boxers. They couldn’t tell me what that something different was and we went back and forth for a couple minutes of me recommending they come in store to see what they like for themselves and explaining some of the different things we had. He finally hung up on me. Guess I was too bad at mind reading. What is up with people?

What is your biggest pet peeve in the workplace? My manager always asks me “what are today’s to-dos?” And it just feels very micro managey. I always get my work done and offer support when asked, and I go out of my way to ask those who need extra support. Idk maybe I’m over analyzing but it just bothers me. lol

How many of us are running on fumes but pretending everything’s fine? I’ve been snapping at people, forgetting things, and waking up at 3am to check email, but I still paste on the “I’ve got this” face at work. The pressure to seem unshakeable is so strong that admitting burnout feels like career suicide.

Any mantras you all use to tell yourself it’ll be ok, it’ll all work out - when you’re in a particularly bad week where kid is teething or home sick, work is unusually crazy, there aren’t enough hours in the day for everything, you’re running on very little sleep… asking for a friend

Legit had a breakdown after a series of shit happened today, while dining in Michelin one star resto I shed tears as I vented to my family, and then called my therapist bc she’s so lovely and let me book instantly. One good thing happened today is I can talk to my therapist .

I keep hearing that freaky stuff goes on at DU (Deloitte’s Training retreat in TX) but I am never exposed to it myself and I’ve been more times than most. It makes me wonder if people think I’m a snitch or goodie two-shoes. lol I am a total deviant outside of work 😬

All these wfh jobs I’ve come across seem so scammish. I joined this Facebook group and it’s all the same stuff. Then when someone finally replies to me it’s so red flag, especially the download the What’s App to communicate, like why?
