      Salaries in Accounting

Need a pulse check on compensation as I am at the cross roads again. 16 years of experience in financial services, 5 years big 4, 5 years consulting and the last 6 in the banking industry. Currently I am an internal audit vp/senior manager. No cpa, hcol - base 180k and bonus 40k, total comp 220k. Yoy raises are 2%. Job is hybrid and fairly flexible. Been seeing more roles that require more time in the office but total comp will move to 260k. Time to leave? How am I doing on comp?

Looking for a realistic pulse on exit opp salaries in the Bay Area. Currently have ~3.5 YOE, incl 1.5 yoe most recently in strategy consulting (with recent promo) and 2 yoe prior that in somewhat unrelated finance-focused roles. In the interview process for a few S&O/BizOps roles quoting ~130-135k TC. Seems low to me so curious if my expectations are unrealistic or whether I should hold out for higher comp?

I’m 28 years old and my doctor just told me my blood pressure is high enough to be concerning for someone my age. My job is literally just moving numbers from one box to another, so why am I under this much physical stress? I’ve realized that no amount of prestige is worth a heart attack before I’m 30. I’m looking for the laziest $120k accounting job in existence… what would that be?

I recently received and accepted an offer from Infosys BPM, Mangaluru and noticed you’ve worked there. I’m currently with Allianz, so just wanted to quickly understand how the experience is at Infosys BPM and how it compares overall. I would really appreciate your honest thoughts. Should I take it up or not? Thank you 🙂

Hello, I recently received my Pharmacy License from California and earned my certification as a CPhT from the PTCB. I only have approx. 160 hours of work experience during my externship at Walgreens. I'm currently applying to various entry-level positions and was wondering: what's the least amount that I should be paid hourly?

Currently, I am a Head of HR for a small financial institution. Do you think I would be able to get a salary around the high 200's low 300's?

How do you pick between the PHR and SHRM-CP certifications? My employer is willing to pay for either, but I don’t know what would be the better return on investment. My job is pretty secure, but with the economy the way it is, I want to be proactive about making sure I’d be employable if I lost my job.

Hey y’all, I need CPE credits. My firm has a policy that even if ur not licensed, you need to do 40 hours. I am currently studying for CPA. Would it sound silly if I ask my manager if I can study during the day up to 40 hours only for the week and count that as my CPE? Save me the embarrassment if it sounds silly.
