A little bit of a rant: I was holiday shopping at the mall and was overwhelmed with the amount of people purchasing item from high end luxury stores. My salary would be in the top 5% of individual earners but I would feel anxious making purchases at high end luxury stores. Where are these people getting the money from and how are you so chill about making such high end purchases? P.S. this is not work related but I would like to rant like this on some app which is not abt work. PlsRecomend?

Does anyone know eBay‘s rehire policies? I was a PL account manager, but was let go in a very difficult time of my life due to not meeting expectations. This happened in August 2023. My life has done a complete 180 at this point, and I have had a lot of growth in my professional career. However, it has become apparently clear how much I miss working at eBay nearly daily. I’ve tried applying to even CS roles, but am understandably denied every time. Any idea if I can ever be rehired?

Anyone here experienced with small business acquisition? Early stages of thinking through buying a local business that does $500k to $1M in EBITDA. I’d probably need a couple hundred thousand in equity from an outside investor to keep debt reasonable. Are there specific fundraising channels for something like this? The regular search fund path doesn’t sound as appealing, and would be willing to put a couple hundred k of my own capital in. 6 YoE, 3 in growth equity for reference.

When I joined, the lead Executive Assistant gave me a tour of the divisions I would be working with, such as IT and the Catering Division.
