      Job Seeker Support

I was last job seeking around 2015-2016. It was alot of work and very manual. This time, with AI (ChatGPT], it’s much easier, but the rejection level is the same. I use CGPT for everything except tracking applications. I use Teal for that. I vet job descriptions (JDs) with CGTP, I have it draft my resumes and cover letters. I of course review and edit them myself, but it makes the application process so much easier as well as helping to fill out forms. What do you use AI for in this process?

Third year ID associate at an AM200 firm and am looking for ways to get out of ID. Received a job offer from a Plaintiff’s firm with a base comp of $25k more than I’m currently making and a great bonus structure. The firm is well-known for generating a ton of business, however, has a terrible reputation in the community as being the “scum bag” lawyers that are universally hated. Is it worth it to take the offer and get out of ID (making more) but potentially hurt my reputation long term?

I work in ID in Detroit, MI. I have about 2 years of experience after I transitioned from a general litigation firm after a year. I want to transition out of ID and into something else. Are there particular area of law that my ID experience will translate well? Anyone have suggestions on how to do this or have experience doing the same thing? I had a recruiter tell me it’s really hard to do anything but ID law. I would appreciate any advice.

I’ve been working in healthcare integrations for a while now and have strong hands-on experience with Corepoint and MEDITECH . I’d love to broaden my skill set, but I keep running into the same roadblock: Epic and Cerner are hard to break into because you have to be sponsored to get formal training or access.Given that reality, what integration engine or interoperability platform would you recommend learning next? I do have access Microsoft certifications training.

On the hunt for a position in Identity Access Management (IAM). Application after application I bet I applied for the same company twice. Learning through Microsoft and building my own projects has been and still is a great hands-on experience, but now I'm ready to utilize what I know in a real professional role. Taking my software engineering skills and adding them to IAM, I would say I have a rare, diverse skillset. Connect me with the right people, please.

There’s a recruiting agency in Utah with two physical locations. But before they even submit my resume and application to employers to see if I’ll get an interview or not, they told me that I need to come in and bring two forms of ID. Would a recruiting agency ever ask for your IDs, or is that only for the employer/company to do once they take you from a contracted temporary to a permanent hire position?

Care first BCBS people here, Need some help here please. A vendor reached out for contract to hire position and asked for MM/DD of my DOB to submit my initial application. When told I would do it later in process they say it creates a unique id that will be used entire selection process and also after getting hired to submit timesheets. Is it a SCAM? Appreciate any insights. Thankyou

70% of the work my new firm does is ID but they make no mention of this during interviews or on the firm’s website. Is this common and is it appropriate? I do mostly real estate/business law so I’m not directly bothered but I just thought this information should either be on the website or relayed during interviews.

Wanted to share a project a buddy of mine (ex-EY) is working on - he’s building a new audit platform that actually looks promising. I’ve seen the beta and it looks like it might just help solve a few headaches auditors deal with, rather than just another AI assistant tool. Keep this on your radar for launch. Insurance Litigation

I've been working in ID litigation for about four years now, but have been interviewing for an adjuster position with one of my clients. Just wondering if anyone has ever made this type of career switch and the pros/cons that come with it. I'm a bit nervous about the potential transition (assuming I even get an offer). Thanks!
