6 half slabs of babybacks in honor of my prodigal son’s visit. Hardwood chunk charcoal and cherry wood splits rolling smoke at 250-275°F for 3 hours. Into a Dutch oven with a Modelo Especial beer to braise for an hour. Then shellac multiple layers of Stubb’s Original until the desired level of stickiness is unctuously achieved. To be served with roasted corn on the cob, requested Mom-made mac & cheese, coleslaw, tater salad, bean & fregula salad, and sliced heirloom maters.

I've been working as a procurement team lead in the electronics industry based in san jose California specialised in pcb assembly and box build from past 7 years. I want to pivot my career in a management role as I have serious expertise in internal production operations, customer operations, Global supply chain of electronics components, pcb and mechanical parts. And the second thought is to pivot in the I industry from scratch as I am listening to much noise for AI as industry of future.

Hi all. I've recently been laid off as part of massive restructuring. Currently in Eastern Europe, i have massive experience in tech manufacturing - full sales circuit - presales, pricing, sale, credit limit, even logistics, P&L...currently looking to pivot to something that does not include the quarter/target pressures. Do you have any suggestions?? Are there any courses i can take to pivot? Have you went through this situation, and how did you overcome it?

Anyone here working two jobs / can advise how to do it? My partner had their salary cut because they’re going back to school and I’m trying to figure out how to make up the gap beyond cutting all nonessentials which isn’t gonna be enough own it’s own. I’m not confident I’ll get a raise or a promotion at my current company and have been applying but it’s just so tough out there. Not really sure what else I can do at this point.

Anyone take a massive class cut when moving firms (3+ years)? Got an offer but as a fifth year instead of 8th. I’m not surprised by the offer (better firm, better group, etc.), but it’s a hit to the ego. I know that going to a firm as an 8th year probably isn’t a good idea either, but I was hoping for 6th or 7th. Has anyone else ever dealt with this? Were you able to negotiate your class year if you overperformed?

Hello, I’ve been in retail meat cutting for more than a decade. It’s great and I love the work but I don’t love the schedule. I work most days leading into a holiday (possibly the holiday itself) along with the days of major sporting events. I am looking to move into a trade. Pivoting is a little stressful because of the tools, certifications and prerequisites required to join. Any tips are appreciated

I work at Wilfrid Laurier University as a food service associate. I am not easily shaken up by anything but once while working at the salad bar, a guy asked me for some pineapples. Assuming he wants some to go with his pizza( I know), I started serving him some pineapple slices. That is when he said he wants a whole one! Controlling my laughter, I told him that it is against the rules and my god , was he disappointed!

Unsure what bothers me more… the fact that my steaks are sliced thin… or the fact that out of a $302.00 grocery cost, this represents 18% of it… I’ll probably catch criticism from people saying “most Americans can’t buy $25.99/lb” steaks… My rebuttal: That’s your problem… muscle up, and find a way…

What’s that one expensive habit you refuse to cut, no matter how tight the budget gets? For me, it’s my weekly “treat myself” ritual. A really good coffee or pastry that makes the whole week feel a little lighter. It’s not the most practical expense, but it genuinely keeps me grounded and happy.

Sometimes when I look around it feels like everyone I know is making 150K+ per year based on how they're spending. If I made that much, I'd be so set! But as it is, I feel like I'm just scraping by. So my question is, do you feel like you're just scraping by or that you're making enough to be comfortable?
