      Salaries in Advertising & Marketing

      Marketing Manager
      4mo

Left my agency Senior AM role ($78K) for an in-house Marketing Coordinator position ($72K) and I'm actually making MORE money At 60+ hour weeks, I was earning $25/hour at the agency. Now at 40 hours, I'm at $34/hour plus I can actually freelance on weekends ($1-2K extra/month). The title downgrade stung, but I have my life back and my bank account is healthier. Anyone else done the "downgrade to upgrade" move? Did the title cut hurt your next jump, or did companies value the in-house experience?

      Software Engineering

      QA Associate
      11mo

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science back in 2022. My biggest mistake was not taking the time to process what I wanted to do, but instead take the first job I was offered. I lost my first internship going into my junior year because of COVID, and my senior year was the same thing company wasn't really doing internships. I want to get into software engineering, Ive been completing certifications and building projects, but it seems like a dead end. Been to many jobs interviews.

Good morning, I’m currently very interested in relocating to London, though I understand that securing sponsorship can be challenging. I wanted to get your thoughts on what grade I should be aiming for. I joined my current firm as an intern after completing my A levels to pursue the ACCA qualification, which I completed in June 2024. Since then, I’ve gained approximately 9 months of part-time experience and 2 years of full-time experience in audit, and I’m currently recognised as one of the to

      Jobs in STEM

      Museum Collections Assistant
      11mo

Hello I graduated (2024) with a degree in biology, env studies, and museum studies. When I was in college, I knew I wanted to be in scientific communication, but now that I am out, I'm leaning towards secondary education rather than museum work. I applied to both museum jobs and high school positions, but I've been both ghosted and denied. I am very overwhelmed in trying to figure out the next step. Does anyone have any advice for someone who didn't participate in education in their undergrad?

      Tech

      Senior Data Scientist
      3w

UPenn MSE-DS or Harvard Extension ALM-DS or Notre Dame MS-DS I’m already a Senior Data Scientist with 8+ years of experience (6 in DS) but my academic background is in Mech/Aero Engineering from respected universities (Purdue and Virginia Tech). I mainly want to get a degree for more depth, a prestigous school and an elite alumni network. Ideally I’d love to work in a high-paying tech company (Netflix) or finance and I think these schools carry weight in those areas.

      Graduate Student
      2mo

I am a Biomedical Engineering Graduate with masters degree. I do have skills and I am working on a project which could be potential start up. Right now, I realised my financial and immigration situation is pulling me back down. Been applying for a job and still gets rejected. Well what I do know is I want real R and D exposure. I am even ready to go and learn as intern. What would be the advice or go to for me to step up and get a place to learn and commit?

I graduated from Süleyman Demirel University, Department of Architecture in Türkiye in 2024. During this period, I have been developed with privilege in various architecture programs. Thanks to the courses I have taken and the projects I have completed, I have gained basic and advanced knowledge in the field, and thanks to my internships in the field, I have had the opportunity to develop and advance myself in project management, planning and teamwork.

      Confession

      Consultant
      2mo

HELP Got a tech job after getting laid off from consulting and 18 months later got laid off again 5 months before going back to school… I am unable to get any additional loans and maxed all my credit cards from being laid off before and other obligations. Credit score is bad. No family or friends in the city where I’m studying. Do I give up the school offer and focus on looking for a job? I really wanted to invest in my career change.

      Advertising

      Designer
      3w

I feel like I will never be more than a deck designer. I’ve been in advertising for 9 years as a designer and studio production artist, trying to be promoted to an art director. I’ve had some small projects at my agency, but always on top of my designer workload. I have worked at WK and many other well known agencies, but I’m over 30, and wondering if I should give up and go to grad school for something else. It’s disheartening.
