Thoughts on Classpass vs gympass?
How are people affording to go out to eat $200 on one dinner every weekend? I make pretty decent money and can't fathom spending that on dinners every single weekend. Insane
I’m considering leaving consulting because, comparatively, the compensation in NYC feels low. As a SM in tech consulting, total compensation is typically around $225K base with a bonus capped at roughly $50K. While that’s objectively a strong salary, compared to equivalent roles at banks or tech firms, it feels underwhelming, especially given the lack of equity/stock compensation and the slower progression at this level. Anyone else made an exit? Welcome opinions on this topic more broadly too
New York hotel housekeepers make over $100,000?
Rent went up to from 3450 to 3600 for a one bed in midtown. Should I just stay put or try to find cheaper ( and go through moving costs, the pain of actually touring etc). I make 140k so already it seems too much
How much would you tip at a bakery? You buy two croissants and some bread, no sit down, just in a bag and walk out.
I’ve used both. If you have access to Gympass it’s a no brainer. You pick a tier and then have unlimited access to those gyms/classes. No points or anything like that—definitely cheaper than ClassPass
I personally think that Gympass is great. You pay a certain amount according to your tier and get crazy benefits. Classpass can get quite expensive especially in the city
Yah right
When I lived in suburbia class pass was great, but in the city it's expensive for what it is. Gympass for sure
It’s not really either or. Your employer has to offer gympass and only PwC and EY do that out of the consulting firms
Kearney does it
gympass was the best I had the 200$ tier and got access to equinox and then they switched to lifetime and there isn’t one near me but if there was I would’ve kept it because the other classes were awesome and you didn’t get charged for late cancels like classpass
