Those of you who switched from consulting to PE ops, any regrets?

Lately we’ve been outbid on tons of deals, finding that owners have been contacted already by tons of firms, and proprietary deals are hard to find. Is anyone else finding the same is happening? Is this a new phenomenon for those who have been in the industry for awhile (pre-COVID). Excuse the naïveté.

Anyone else in their late 20s/early 30s thinking of leaving the rat race, leave everything behind and start over? Is it just me?

how many people know Bitcoin but don’t really know how the network actually runs.?

What’s it like being on a “non- flagship” team within a bigger platform eg the LMM fund at Vista, Bain Cap Tech Opportunities, etc ? Do you feel like a second class citizen or can you basically leverage the platform name equally upon exit?
