One time at work, my coworker had just gotten their Subway delivered, left the sandwich sitting on the counter behind them while helping a customer. This lady walks in, looking around like she’s just browsing, then casually she slides over to the counter, grabs the sandwich, tucks it in her purse, and starts walking out the door. I was mid conversation with someone else and just froze, watched her stroll out with the footlong. I looked at my coworker like, “Uhh did you just get robbed??”

Boss asked me & my two coworkers to come up with a procedure proposal and present it to her and “person A”. Only 2 of us agreed on an idea. But “coworker H” didn’t. So, to get more info, I went to “person A” to get clarification on what the tech specs said bc we were interpreting it differently. I brought back my findings and “coworker H” was very upset that I didn’t include her in the convo and that I added “person A” to the mix. Btw, “person A” and “coworker H” don’t get along. Was I wrong?

Met a woman in Jan at a non-profit event and we hit it off. Didn't see her after that for various reasons but I've been involved with the org since. Saw her last week on a zoom call for the org and said "hi x, it's been a while." She messaged me 4 times in the chat we use for the org afterwards and another 4 times the next day with enthusiastic responses and asked what I've been up to. Also shared some personal stuff on her side. Continued in comments.

I made the mistake of joining the neighborhood ladies bunco. I’m only 2 that work, the rest are retired or housewives. The conversation took a strange turn…”I could never let anyone raise my babies” and my favorite, “ a woman’s place is at home. You can’t do it all.” What the heck?! My response, well good for you. I could not come up with a sharp response. What could I have replied AND no, I will not be joining again.

Checking out at Costco today, I was making idle conversation with the cashier. Somehow we started talking about 401k/retirement and she said she cashed out half her 401k and parked it in gold 🫨 I mean come on current events are a bit shaky but there's no way that'll pay off over the long run. What are y'alls thoughts? Is she ahead of the curve or crazy? lol

Had a bit of a run‑in with a “colleague” today. They gave a customer a quote… then suddenly didn’t want to take ownership of it because “it’s not my customer.” I’m sorry, what? If you had no intention of seeing it through, why quote them in the first place? Accountability isn’t optional. If you put your name on something, you follow it through. End of story.
