Failed the transcript as they asked me to type out the audio without pausing it. While I typed fast I could not keep up with the amount of people and words. The job offer I saw stated that it paid around 15-20 an hour but I now realized that is for per hour of audio, so realistically you get paid much less as it takes a lot of work to type out a full hour of audio. I still think that the listing was a bit misleading and they should have been more clear on their demands. My advice for anyone applying is that it is a decent freelance type job but even if you type fast and can keep up with people speaking it will still be difficult. My transcript was of a woman's research group so I had no idea what some of the shows and products they were talking about, making it quite hard even if I could type it out in real time. Your spelling and grammar also has to be very good. I would say it's worth applying for as it is a great job but your skills will have to be up to par to their very high standards.
