I became interested in the health education field through my love of science and research, and specifically in the biomedical sciences. To me, it seemed exciting to be able to make a difference in people's lives — especially at such an individual level. Through two years of focused volunteering, I was finally able to work with young children who wanted or needed more help with understanding their bodies and learning how to take care of themselves.
