it depends on the type of change being made- if it involves a legislation or regulation change or funding, further steps will be required. First step is to get the "go ahead" from the minister's office. This can come top-down or we can present some options and proactively ask MO to provide us a "go ahead". then there will be development and consultation, (as required). First there will be a policy approval which involves a cabinet submission. There will be a mandated consultations for any regulation/legislation change (ERO/RR posting of 45 days) along with Regulatory impact assessment. Then it goes to LRC. All thing can take about 22-23 weeks minimum.
