Description Taiwan's EVA Airways flies passengers and cargo around the globe. The carrier flies to more than 50 destinations, mainly in Southeast Asia and China but also in North America, Australia, Europe, and Dubai. Its mixed fleet of some 55 aircraft of mostly Boeing and Airbus planes includes about 15 freighters. EVA Airways has code-sharing agreements for passenger and cargo services with carriers including American Airlines, All Nippon Airways, US Airways, Continental Airlines, Qantas Airways, and FedEx. (Code-sharing enables airlines to sell tickets on one another's flights and offer passengers more destinations.) Launched in 1989, EVA Airways is an affiliate of container shipping line Evergreen Marine.
