Fast Company named SecurityScorecard one of the 10 most innovative companies in cybersecurity of 2023.
According to Fast Company: "Cybersecurity begins with a company knowing its vulnerabilities—and insuring itself against the losses a successful attack could bring. SecurityScorecard helps organizations monitor risks around their cloud-based security by finding possible vulnerabilities from a hacker’s POV, and analyzes third-party vendors to find holes in their systems.
The company extended its capabilities by integrating with everyone from CrowdStrike (April 2022) to Snowflake (June 2022) to Amazon Web Services (July 2022). Its millions of ratings help chief information security officers (CISOs) address urgent vulnerabilities and helps investors (and insurers) better evaluate companies, an approach that earned a recognition in May 2022 from the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST), which added third-party ratings to federal security standards.
SecurityScorecard’s research has also brought more transparency to the cybersecurity industry and helped companies and insurers better understand ROIs of cyber spending, which can better motivate companies to shore up their defenses. A June 2022 paper by the company and the Cyentia Institute found that only 60% of organizations have improved their security posture despite a 15-fold increase in cyberattacks over the past three years."
