Description All-Clad MetalCrafters was started in 1971 by John Ulam, a renowned metallurgist who had more than 75 patents for metal crafting used for the manufacture of car parts, building airplanes and even minting coins. John was also an avid home cook and eventually put his metallurgical talents to work in utilizing bonded metal to create superior cookware that would last a lifetime. After 50 years in business All-Clad still abides by its Mission Statement: "The same enthusiasm and creativity cooks put into every dish they make, we put into every piece of cookware we make. To us, cooking to perfection is more than just a saying, it's our mission. And we challenge ourselves to help all cooks accomplish that goal every day."
