Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC), founded by parents in 1964, is one of twenty Community Centered Boards serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Colorado as an alternative to institutionalization. Since conception, our name was changed from Jefferson County Community Center for Developmental Disabilities to the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center so people could better understand the focus of our services and that our service area goes beyond Jefferson County. DDRC has achieved numerous recognitions including the Presidential Point of Light Award, the Golden Rotary Ethics Award and Denver Business Journal’s Top Human Services Organizations Award.
