Description EMI Music Publishing is looking after the business part of the music business. The division of UK-based recording giant EMI Group is the world's 2nd largest music publisher (after UMPG), administering the rights to more than a million songs. Its collection includes classics and standards such as "Blue Moon," "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," and "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," as well as more recent hits like "Genie in a Bottle" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit." The company collects royalties for including its songs on CDs, as well as live performance fees, and it also licenses its music for use in movies, television shows, and advertising. In late 2011, Sony/ATV agreed to acquire EMI Music Publishing.
