Established in 2006, Bierman Autism Centers began with a simple, heartfelt vision: to transform the lives of children diagnosed with autism through personalized, play-based care. From the beginning, our guiding philosophy was to “let kids (and kids at heart!) be kids.”
What started as an in-home care model evolved into something much bigger. By 2010, we opened our first center in Indiana, embracing the unique power of center-based therapy to foster a consistent, nurturing environment. Today, our centers are found in Arizona, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, and Rhode Island—and all locations reflect our core belief: every child’s progress deserves to be celebrated.
What truly sets Bierman apart is our commitment to raising the bar for clinical care and professional development. Modeled after a teaching hospital, our environment supports two goals: delivering exceptional outcomes for children and developing great clinicians and teachers. Through structured mentorship, career pathways, and continuous learning, our team members are empowered to innovate, lead, and grow.
At the heart of our work are our Behavior Technicians, BCBAs, and clinicians who bring their passion and expertise into every session. Our teaching methods, including precision teaching and assent-based practices, ensure that therapy is effective, ethical, and engaging.
We combine evidence-based ABA therapy, speech and occupational therapy, and diagnostic services in a collaborative setting designed to help children build foundational skills like communication, self-advocacy, and confidence. Our approach blends clinical precision with the joyful energy of childhood, because learning should feel like play.
