Description Everything AUREA recycles turns to gold. AUREA (which means "gold" in Latin) is a holding company whose subsidiaries are involved in industrial recycling. AUREA is Europe's #1 recycler of motor oil, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics, and used rubber wheels and tires. Eco Huile, from its plant in northern France, recycles 45% of the country's waste oil. Belgian subsidiary Rulo NV is part of Europe's plan to recycle 200,000 tons of PVC by 2010, while ROLL GOM makes wheels and tires from recycled rubber, processing 50 tons of rubber every day. Through direct and indirect holdings, CEO Joël Picard controls half of the company. AUREA has been listed on the Paris Stock Exchange since the 19th century.
