Description Small Steps is an Early Intervention Program providing evaluation, therapeutic and educational services to your infant or toddler age birth through three years old through the NYS Early Intervention Program. These services are provided in your home or day care or at our facility in Nyack at no cost to your family. To be eligible for the Early Intervention Program, families and children must reside in Rockland County, NY.

Home-Based Services:

Evaluations are provided in the home/daycare and once a child qualifies for the Early Intervention Program, therapies are provided in the home/daycare one-to-one. These services are individualized to meet each child’s specific needs and include:

Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Speech Therapy
Special Instruction
Parent and Family Training and Instruction
Psychological Counseling
Social Work
Adaptive Equipment Evaluation and Ordering
Small Steps strives to provide you and your family with the best service and assistance that we can. All of our therapists are experienced pediatric professionals. They have all had experience in a variety of medical and educational settings. Small Steps views itself as a part of the team that consists of the child, their family, and all treating professionals working with the child. We are here to help you and provide you with the knowledge to begin to help your child.

Small Steps also provides Center-based and Facility-Based services to eligible children.
