Mission Street Child offers vulnerable street children in West Africa and Nepal the opportunity to access education, and provides their families with the means to keep them there. With sustainability at the heart of everything we do, we help some of the world's poorest people create a new today, and a better tomorrow.
Description Street Child's aim is to create educational opportunities for some of the world’s most vulnerable children. We began our work in 2008 in Sierra Leone working with a small number of street children, nine years later we have helped to transform the lives of more than 50,000 children across Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nepal. In 2017, we launched our first project in Nigeria helping children impacted by conflict in the North East of the country.
Street Child is currently expanding its operations to Liberia, in an attempt to serve increasing numbers of children in need. Street Child of Liberia has been working with the Government of Liberia and partner organizations to strengthen the capacity of teachers, schools and communities to sustain their investment in the education for their children. As a volunteer, you will be part of an exciting stage of the organization’s growth, and will be working closely with the Street Child of Liberia team to support our programs.
