Mission The mission of Atlanta Children's Shelter is to break the cycle of poverty for families facing homelessness by building pathways to long-term self-sufficiency and providing quality early childhood education.
Description Interested in teaching? Join our mission-centered Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program, focused on serving children facing homelessness from birth to six. Our program is built on a research-based curriculum, a trauma-informed model of care, and varied enrichment opportunities, all with the goal of helping students achieve their developmental milestones. Our team of passionate teaching professionals is committed to fostering a loving and nurturing environment that cultivates social-emotional well-being, all while delivering a quality education.
We seek passionate, experienced, and energetic childcare professionals. Our ideal candidates believe in sparking joy through learning, promoting developmentally appropriate social-emotional growth, and encouraging students’ independent reasoning skills. With the dedicated support of the ECE leadership team, our ideal candidates are excited to develop weekly lesson plans to build our students' foundational literacy, math, and critical thinking skills. Most importantly, our ideal candidates are invested in our mission to break the cycle of poverty and provide quality early childhood education.
