Mission Code for Africa gives citizens actionable, data-driven information to make better informed decisions and to help governments be more responsive. We also build technology tools to amplify citizen voices and combat organised crime.
Description Code for Africa is an impact accelerator, and a collaborative pan-African federation of civic data and civic technology organisations. We use technology and data to build digital democracies, and to empower citizens with actionable information. We have a strong journalism focus, believing that media is a powerful information and mobilisation agent. Our projects range from building big technology platforms and citizen-focussed tools, to producing and funding tech and data driven investigations.
