      Description The music from this label seems to be going a thousand miles an hour. Roadrunner Records is one of the top heavy metal imprints in the US, sporting such talent as Nickelback, Korn, Rob Zombie, and Dream Theater. The label was founded by Cees Wessels in Amsterdam in 1981 in order to license US hard-rock music for European release. Since its founding, Roadrunner has expanded internationally; today it has operations in about ten countries around the world. In 2010 Warner Music Group purchased the company.
