First Majestic Silver pursues the majestic art of mining silver. The company mines for silver ore in three mines in Mexico. Its San Martin mine in the northern portion of the state of Jalisco produces about 1.3 million ounces of silver annually. First Majestic Silver produces an additional 1.3 million ounces from its La Parrilla Silver Mine, and its La Encantada Silver mine produces more than 2 million ounces a year. The company provides silver for a wide variety of uses, including jewelry, pharmaceuticals, photography, and coins. It bought Norambec Mining and its Real de Catorce Silver Project in 2010, bringing into the fold yet another Mexican silver project.
