Rod Schindler first opened Rod's Japanese Auto Care in 2002 in Bellingham, WA.
He started fixing cars and small engines when he was just nine years of age. Rod has always had a certain passion for fixing things, and that's the main reason why he has been in the automotive industry for 30 years and counting.
He is an ASE Certified Master Mechanic, and the shop's entire staff has the same technician certification that allows them to tackle even the hardest and most sophisticated auto repairs.
Today, Rod’s Japanese Auto Care uses unique technology to educate our customers with our transparency and education so that they feel confident in the decisions they make for their vehicles. We provide them with a life time warranty- using the best parts and the best technicians.
This gives residents of Bellingham and surrounding communities honest, reliable, and high-quality auto repair and maintenance services for both foreign and domestic vehicles.
We are a family-owned and operated auto repair center in Bellingham that is staffed with a team of experienced and ASE Certified technicians who receive ongoing training in automotive technology and auto repair services.
We use the most current diagnostic equipment available, including original factory equipment, which enables us to quickly discover any problems and start working on the solutions as soon as possible.
We rebuild hybrid and EV battery packs in house- and have been doing so for the last 5 years. We are well versed and train all of our technicians the same.
We are members of the Automotive Service Association (ASA), , and Automotive Training Institute (ATI). Our auto repair center is a full-service facility that offers complimentary WiFi, loaner cars, local shuttle service, and unparalleled customer service.
