Description Bangkok Airways takes to the skies as Asia's boutique airline. The commercial passenger carrier serves more than a dozen destinations, including all of Thailand's major vacation spots, and a number of neighboring countries. It offers scheduled and chartered services via a fleet of 15-plus aircraft, including passenger jets made by Airbus and ATR (a joint venture between EADS and a Finmeccanica subsidiary). Bangkok Airways also owns and operates three airports in Thailand: Trat, Sukhothai, and Samui, which went international when the airline added routes to Hong Kong and Singapore. It plans to add direct flights domestically as well as internationally, to Dubai, Shanghai, Bali, and Kuala Lumpur.
