The company, formerly called Powertech Industries, sold off subsidiary Gasmaster Industries -- a maker of stainless steel products, condensing boilers, and water heaters -- in 2005. In 2006 the company acquired Denver Uranium Company, a uranium-exploration firm focused exclusively on the Dewey Burdock deposit in South Dakota. In 2007 Powertech Uranium's uranium holdings covered more than 59,000 acres in the western US.
