1992
Eco-Energy’s platform was founded on its core business of Ethanol Marketing. Over the years, Eco-Energy's marketing services leveraged its reputation in the biofuels market, and through the right opportunities and relationships, a solid base was formed.
2012
Eco-Energy was acquired by Copersucar in Brazil to expand its global reach, making it the largest ethanol trading business in the world.
This same year, the ethanol platform expanded to include midstream terminals with truck and rail capabilities.
2014
Eco-Energy diversified its energy platform by bringing on Natural Gas Marketing and Trading.
2015-2018
Eco-Energy saw considerable growth in the distribution business and natural gas efforts with five new terminals and expansion from 44 Bcf to 255 Bcf.
2020
The third-party logistics division was founded to offer supply chain solutions in trucking, rail, and barge to expand our offerings beyond the biofuel market.
2021
Eco-Energy increased resiliency by diversifying its Carbon Solutions platform, which includes solar development projects and transportation emissions certificate, for its low-carbon-seeking customers.
2022
Eco-Energy announced the launch of Eco-Specialty Alcohols, a high-purity alcohol marketing and trading division. Initial product offerings are pure and denatured U.S.-origin grain ethanol in both 190 and 200-proof forms.
2023
The Carbon Solutions division expanded with the launch of TERC - Transport Emissions Reduction Certificate to bring low-carbon incentives to the agriculture and transportation sectors
