Description Abilities! helps people find theirs. The not-for-profit organization works to support people with disabilities through education and training programs, research, public policy, and advocacy. Its Kornreich Technology Center provides demonstrations and training on assistive technology while the Smeal Learning Center offers audiovisual production tools and conference space. Its Henry Viscardi School educates disabled students in and around New York City from pre-K through 12th grades. Dr. Henry Viscardi founded Abilities, Inc., in 1952 to help disabled people (primarily WWII veterans) find employment. Known as the National Center for Disability Services since 1991, the group changed its name again in 2004.
