Mission Over the past decade, solar is becoming an increasingly meaningful—and visible—part of the energy mix. As deployment continues to expand to every corner of our country, so too does the industry’s responsibility to deliver value to the communities where solar energy projects are located. In short, solar must “do more” than produce energy; solar must go beyond the megawatt to maximize the economic, environmental, and social benefits of the clean energy transition in this country.
Silicon Ranch was founded by three public servants who recognize both the need and the opportunity to build a business designed around these guiding principles. The company develops, owns, and operates solar projects to help make communities stronger, healthier, and more resilient, all while investing in communities across the country, advancing energy infrastructure, revitalizing domestic manufacturing, and bolstering new agricultural and conservation opportunities.
We are partners and neighbors who do what we say we’re going to do, who respect the history and local identity of a place, and who listen, learn, and respond to the specific concerns of the people who live there.
For Silicon Ranch, how solar projects are built and operated and where these projects are located matters. As the long-term owner and operator of every solar project we develop, we have a vested interest not only in the performance of our energy projects but also in the well-being of the communities that host them. We invest in communities to provide reliable access to clean energy, drive long-term economic growth, and leave the land under and around our panels healthier than we found it.
That’s why we were founded. That’s what fuels us each and every day. That’s how we make solar do more.
