Though we are slowly beginning to unravel the mysteries of HIV, AIDS, and other chronic diseases, we still need Allion Healthcare, a specialty drug distributor to help patients suffering from such diseases. Through subsidiaries MOMS Pharmacy and Biomed America, the company fills prescriptions at more than 15 distribution centers and delivers them to patients, doctors' offices, and clinics nationwide. Allion also provides ancillary drugs and nutritional supplies, and offers consulting and drug packaging services to help patients stick with their medication regimens. Allion was taken private by H.I.G. Capital in 2010.
