Description Banro is looking for a jewel in Africa's gold belt. The company explores and develops gold properties along the Twangiza-Namoya gold belt in the Congo. It is currently developing four gold projects (Kamituga, Lugushwa, Namoya, and Twangiza) located in the Maniema and South Kivu provinces. It has identified about 6.7 million ounces of measured and indicated resources on the properties. The flagship Twangiza project has a gold plant capable of treating 1.3 million tonnes of ore per annum. The Congolese government holds a small ownership stake in the company's operations.
