After School Programs - BACR remains a leading provider of after school
programming in the Bay Area, serving 98 schools in eight school districts in San Francisco, Marin, and the East Bay. We offer structured academic support and enrichment activities for at least 150 days (three hours a day) throughout the school year.
Alcohol and Drug - We deliver prevention and treatment services to struggling youth, families, and adults. Our services provide everything from basic information to alcoholism and drug dependency treatment. Services are provided in a number of settings: schools, in-custody, freestanding recovery centers, and county public assistance offices. We deliver services in Contra Costa, Marin, and Napa counties.
Behavioral Health - BACR provides on-site professional counseling services in elementary, middle, and high schools in Alameda County, West Contra Costa County, and Marin County schools. We provide individual, group, and family mental health services, as well as consultation with school personnel and other stakeholders and collaborators.
Fiscal Services - BACR offers fiscal support and administrative services to organizations who can benefit from our experience, reputation and economies of scale. In addition to the fiscal and administrative services provided to sponsored projects, BACR offers payroll and human resource services to organizations.
Healthy Communities - Our health centers serve as hubs of coordinated services and programs where youth and families can find support, resources, and community. These hubs include Healthy Start programs, high school health centers, community schools, and a First 5 Center.
National Service Programs - BACR’s national service program, one of the largest and most effective in California, enables AmeriCorps members to achieve personal benefits through engaging in community service. Communities benefit through services delivered by AmeriCorps members such as tutoring, mentoring, and health education.
Tobacco - BACR provides tobacco cessation classes, referrals, and tobacco education services. We partner with schools, community groups, and public health agencies in Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties.
Workforce and Education - BACR Workforce and Education programs support young people making positive decisions about their education, employment, and behavioral health. Program activities are youth-led, foster civic engagement, and provide opportunities for youth to learn to be productive, connect, and navigate.
