Cimsa Cimento Sanayi de Ticaret is trying to solidify its place in the global cement market. A leading producer in Turkey, the company manufactures white, gray, and calcium aluminate cement and clinker, as well as ready-mix concrete for the construction industry. Cimsa has more than 40 facilities and an annual production rate of about 4 million tons of cement, 3.5 million tons of clinker, and 1.5 million cu. meters of concrete. About one-quarter of its sales come from exporting to foreign clients, while the remainder of its sales are made domestically. Established in 1972, Cimsa sells its products in nearly 50 countries on four continents. Haci Omer Sabanci Holding controls about 47% of Cimsa.
