You've got questions; the National Technical Information Service has answers. As the largest central repository of government-funded scientific, business, technical, and engineering information, NTIS wrangles more than 3 million publications (books, CDs, reports, and magazines) covering at least 350 subject areas. The agency's main focuses are collecting and disseminating information to the public, and producing publications for other federal organizations. It helps government agencies set up Web sites, produce multimedia projects, conduct specialized research, setup and maintain databases, and distribute information. NTIS is part of the Department of Commerce.
