Description The California Employment Training Panel (ETP) helps workers get the education they need to do well in their jobs. The agency reimburses businesses that provide skills-based training to employees. Since its founding in 1983, ETP has contributed more than $1 billion to some 60,000 businesses in California. The agency has funded training for about 700,000 workers employed at primarily small companies. Seven panel members appointed by the governor and legislature govern the ETP. The agency supports the economy in California by helping to increase productivity and improve performance of its businesses.
