Kreher Steel is a nationwide distributor of alloy, carbon, stainless, and tool steel. It also offers sawing and turning services. A pioneer in just-in-time delivery, Kreher Steel operates warehouses throughout the US to serve automotive manufacturers, steel processors, aerospace companies, and other customers. It also owns Kreher Wire, which makes fasteners and industrial products from its facility in Michigan. A joint venture between specialty metals distributors A. M. Castle & Co. and European steel trader Duferco owns two-thirds of Kreher Steel; chairman Thomas Kreher owns the rest. Kreher Steel was founded in 1978.
