Mission We are a completely unique enterprise and the world’s leading spirits branding consultancy. You will not find another agency that does what we do, with the experience, and the assets we have—including our own distillery in New Hampshire, now a famous test kitchen for producing unique and Avant-Garde spirits.
Our team is comprised of designers, mixologists, bartenders, chefs, historians, novelists, brand ambassadors, distillers, sales and retail specialists, trade experts, copywriters, photographers, retouchers, sourcing specialists and even a biochemist with a PhD.
We can build a brand, soup to nuts. And we don’t just build brands. We build worlds. For brands to be able to break through and have long lasting impact, they need to create worlds every bit as complex as those in literature, cinema or music. We believe for a brand to stick in the marketplace, it needs to be deliberately layered, complex and purposefully beguiling.
An emerging brand may have initial buzz…but what is going to keep that buzz from burning out quickly? What’s to keep people moving onto the next big thing? Brand Mysticism.
An innovative creative method, developed by our founder, Steven Grasse, Brand Mysticism is what he used to create cult brands such as Hendrick’s Gin. It is our doctrine, our dogma, our north star.
Description Based out of Philadelphia, Steven Grasse founded Quaker City Mercantile as a reaction to the problem of traditional advertising agencies. His solution was a combination of 19th century mercantilism and 21st century brand artistry.
Quaker City Mercantile creates brands from the ground up and brings them to market, overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, distribution, and marketing. They work in three ways: self funded, equity partners with investors, and work for hire.
