The Scion Group is the largest owner/operator of off-campus student housing communities globally. Scion’s current portfolio consists of over 82,000 beds of student accommodations in 126 communities, serving 76 college and university markets across 33 U.S. states. Scion employs over 1,750 team members and has approximately $9.0 billion of assets under management.

During its 24-year history, Scion has participated in the acquisition or development of more than 100,000 beds of student housing, totaling nearly $10.0 billion of project value. Scion has completed its latest strategic expansion with the acquisition, in a joint venture with a longstanding equity partner, of Reflection, a 741-bed student housing community just a block from Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta. The 25-story building opened in 2022 and features striking views, fitness and yoga studios, a luxurious elevated pool and recreation deck, and ample resident study and meeting spaces. “Reflection is an asset of the highest quality. We are pleased to complete this strategic acquisition and expand into yet another tier-1 campus market,” said Clayton Merritt, Scion’s Senior Vice President, Capital and Investments. “We look forward to implementing our best-in-class operating platform and serving the Georgia State Market.”...Show more
