Description When it views its holdings, Vista Gold hopes its prospects for gold are good. Since 2001 the company has acquired five gold projects with the expectation that gold prices would increase. It is developing the Mt. Todd gold project in Australia's Northern Territories and the Concordia gold project in Mexico's Baja California Sur. It also holds a 30% stake in Midas Gold Corp., which has projects in Idaho, including the Yellow Pine property once held by Vista. Other holdings by Vista are the Guadelupe de los Reyes gold and silver mining complex in Mexico, the Awak Mas gold mine in Indonesia, and the Long Valley gold project in California. Vista has proven and probable reserves of 5.4 million ounces of gold.
