Description Richmont Mines hopes to live up to the "rich" part of its name. The company's Canadian mines produce about 70,000 ounces of gold annually. It owns the Beaufor mine, it's largest producing mine, in southwestern Quebec. In 2010, Richmont purchased the remaining 30% of subsidiary Louvem Mines it did not already own. Richmont's other producing mine, the Island Gold mine in Ontario, entered production in 2007. Richmont's nearby Camflo Mill processes mine production. In 2008 it bought Canadian gold miner Patricia Mining for about $17 million.
