Our heritage continues today: passionately working to bring pure, delicious butter to your table.
In 1893, the Wuethrich family immigrated from Switzerland to the lush farmland of central Wisconsin. The family of dairy farmers soon established a butter business in their new home, sourcing cream from the many local farms.
The business grew through the leadership of John S. Wuethrich and in 1911, John purchased what is today known as Grassland Dairy.
Over the next 5 generations, Grassland has prided itself on remaining a family-owned company. Their commitment to the communities in which they reside are intertwined in their success, and an integral part of the Grassland story. Today, the Wuethrichs are excited to introduce a new line of Non-GMO Project Verified butters, furthering their commitment to innovation and sustainability.
