Pros

35 hour work week, somewhat flexible hours

Cons

The amount of mismanagement happening here is astounding. The senior director of advancement rarely comes into the office before 10am, the president/ ceo will not share executive salaries at any cost (resulting in a lower guidestar rating, big deal for a nonprofit), and anything said to HR will be shared with management, despite the handbook stating otherwise. Multiple people have been fired suddenly and longtime employees will tell you that if you go to HR, you will be fired. There are much better nonprofits to work for.

Pros

Holidays off and you will do nothing. Perfect if you want an office job

Cons

Inconsistent management, safety hazards(boiler room), everything except two exhaust fans are "Under contract" so you will do nothing. Very political, with the exception of the custodial staff the rest gossip and talk poorly about each other and will do it about you in the facilities department. My time there was short and anything but sweet. The staff will tell you that you are wrong about basic HVAC information while having no experience in the field themselves. I was on my way out the door and got let go, but would speak differently if my experience had been more positive.
